FOCUSING ON
ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS
The coaches and members at Achieve Gym like to think that they are a part of something a bit special. As with any gym people come along looking for somewhere that they can improve their fitness, maybe get a bit stronger, a bit leaner, a bit faster.
What they find is a place where people of all ages, fitness levels and abilities train together, each with their own goals in mind but as part of a close knit yet welcoming group where everyone is encouraged to try things that they may never have considered themselves capable of.
All sessions at Achieve are coach led, ensuring that all the members learn the proper form and correct technique before loading the exercises or moving on to more challenging progression.

Our Coaches
Tanya Couldwell – Gym Owner
Tanya has the ability to inspire and encourage you to try things that you may never have thought yourself capable of whilst awakening new expectations in yourself.
Tanya is a British Weightlifting Level 2 coach, and she’s competed around the country having been trained by Commonwealth Gold medallist Michaela Breeze. She is an experienced instructor with a calm and nurturing manner.
Tanya now focuses her own training on gymnastic strength, flexibility and primarily handstands, all of which have become the foundation of the wider programming at Achieve Gym giving the members a variety of classes which all complement each other.
Having come to gymnastics and handstands later in life Tanya has a good understanding of the challenges that adults face when learning new skills be it physical or mental blocks and ways to overcome them.
Guy Brightman – Head Coach
Guy has over twenty years experience in sport, as a national level boxer and then in Crossfit before finally coming across gymnastic strength training as a way to rehabilitate from injury and realising the potential of bodyweight training to be accessible for all. Both Guy and Tanya train regularly with national level gymnast coach and former Commonwealth competitor Lloyd Byrne.
Guy has been a personal trainer and coach for many years and is gifted in his ability to identify what is holding people back biomechanically and how to address it.
He is a product of his own knowledge and like Tanya never expects anyone to do something that he can’t do or isn’t working towards himself. His Bodyweight and flexibility session will quickly identify your weaknesses and just as quickly set you on the path to improving and strengthening them.
